A 350-employee corporate head office was using separate tools for desk phones, team chat, and video meetings, none of which were integrated. Employees often missed calls while working remotely, meeting rooms had inconsistent and unreliable video conferencing setups, and IT had no central view of extension usage or call quality across departments.
Deployed a unified communications platform combining IP telephony, instant messaging, presence status, and mobile softphone apps so employees can answer office extensions from anywhere. Standardised all 14 meeting rooms with Poly Studio X50 video bars for one-touch video conferencing, integrated with the existing calendar system. Refreshed the office network backbone with managed switches and access points to support the additional voice and video traffic with QoS prioritisation.
Employees can now answer their office extension from the mobile softphone whether in the office or working from home, reducing missed customer calls. Meeting rooms across all 14 locations now have a consistent, reliable video conferencing experience with one-touch join. IT now has centralised visibility into call quality and extension usage across the entire organisation.
