A 12-branch bank was running a mix of analog DVRs and end-of-life IP cameras with no centralised monitoring. Footage retrieval during audits took days, several branches had blind spots around cash counters and ATM lobbies, and there was no audit trail of staff and vendor entry into server rooms. RBI compliance audits had flagged the lack of a unified surveillance and access policy.
Standardised every branch on Hikvision IP cameras with coverage of cash counters, entry/exit points, ATM lobbies, and server rooms, recorded on local NVRs with cloud backup of critical footage. Deployed a central monitoring dashboard at the head office allowing security staff to view any branch live or pull recorded footage on demand. Re-cabled server rooms and camera runs with Cat6 structured cabling and added ZKTeco access control with audit logging on all server room doors.
All 12 branches were brought onto a single monitoring platform within 6 weeks, with footage retrieval time reduced from days to minutes. The bank passed its next compliance audit with no surveillance-related observations, and server room access now has a complete digital audit trail. The head office security team monitors all branches from one workstation.
